Her name is Davi Mondt Lowman. She started off life in a family full of sisters, born and raised in the middle of Iowa, eventually becoming a registered nurse who specialized in critical care and trauma for many years. The last several years of her career was spent as a Director of Nursing, which provided her with skills in the areas of communication, organization, creativity, and attention to detail.

Davi went off on an adventure to Tuscany more than a decade ago and has been going there ever since. You might want to read her article in Franco Lombardi’s newsletter, which is produced from his Chianti olive oil farm, "Il Pornanino". The article tells the story of how this wannabe-Tuscan gave up the life of an administrative nurse and became the owner/operator of a tour company, which specializes in taking small groups of Americans on tour in Tuscany (you can find her story here).

Davi has a philosophy about travel and how to make it unforgettable: "Make it fun, make it about the travelers, love what you do, and show them your passion."

She thinks the foremost reason her tours are so successful is the fact that she has so many wonderful Italian friends and resources, which enable her travelers to experience things and places that other travelers will never know (be sure and read her travelers’ comments!). These valuable people, who live and work in Tuscany, make up the “US” in the “ALL ABOUT US”, because Davi believes she could not, nor would not, do these tours without them. She emphasizes safety, good transportation, good accommodations, good food, wonderful wine, fun, flexibility, special events, and small groups (no more than 8 travelers on the “usual” tours). Davi takes her job seriously, but takes life as an opportunity to have fun–and to see and experience the beauty that exists in this world while sharing it with others.
